Plastik Magazine April Cover… Cooldog

Still running with this k9 theme I see. Let it go woman! This is a cooldog that I drew for the April issue of Cardiff’s very own Plastik Magazine. An online mag dedicated to independent and creative culture around Cardiff and the UK. If anyone’s wondering, which I know you all are, my favourite dog is an Irish setter. When I’m a grown-up I want to be a dog walker.

The MMP April Issue – A dog playing the piano. Obvs.

UnderwatervPiano Dog by The Lovely Wars

It’s a piano-playing Waterdog, a drawing I did for the cover of the Miniature Music Press, a brilliant Cardiff-based monthly music mag. I must say, I’m very excited about this one as I love the MMP so I’m a little giddy. Dweeb. Also, I’m quite pleased that I got away with drawing a dog again, I’m gonna get found out. Shhh.

You can purchase prints of this image here.

Rainbow Smoke – Shuttle Atlantic

I drew this a while back but as ever I took a good few months to upload it. Deary me. It’s a somewhat colourful interpretation of the final take off of Shuttle Atlantic. Never got to take to the wheel, gutted.

Twisted by Design – Poster

Here’s a poster that has taken no less than three months to complete. Is that all it took you say? Yes, that is all. Incredible.

All Dogs go to Heaven

I literally LOVE animals and when I get a place of my own, after I buy some milk and bread the first thing Imma do is get myself a dog. It’s beyond me how I’ve lasted this long without one, how DO I do it you ask? I’m just a brave little soldier. These two dreamboats belong to a lovely friend, I’d quite like to borrow them. Thank you.

Album Artwork for Plyci

Now I spent a good ol’ while making this guy above there. He’ll be on the album cover for the new set of sounds by the horribly talented Plyci (incidentaly, that hairy face is in fact his) out on the marvelous Peski records later this year. Below is the back and stuff:

He’s a floating face in space. Space is cool. Speaking of cool, we were in Geneva last weekend singing songs, getting high on ear candy and being frozen by the awesome wonder that is a non-polluted river. Clear waters are like tears from heaven. Amen.

It’s Bob Dylan!

Good heavens it’s been a while since I was here hasn’t it?! I have indeed been busy working on things which I’m very excited about… hopefully some demos and gigs coming from The Lovely Wars early next year. YAHOO! In the meantime, here is a drawing of that chap Zimmerman from over the pond, he has quite the head of hair on him hasn’t he?

Lucky Souls Ali and Dusty

This is a drawing of the lovely Ali Howard, from the very brilliant band Lucky Soul, and her teeny tiny little human Dusty. What a beautiful name that is.

I Heart Olivia Palermo – An illustration for Amelia’s Magazine

So it turns out that I have a huge ongoing girl crush on Olivia Palermo. Here is a drawing I did of her a few days ago for Amelia’s Magazine. SWOOOOON!

Florence Without Her Machine

I don’t have much to say these days… well apart from that it’s raining outside and that I’m very pleased to be indoors. I think this is probably due to my reality TV overdose. My brain cells are lonely. Hello?
